El pasado 1ro de octubre en el departamento de Rocha (La Paloma) se llevó a cabo el Seminario sobre Desarrollo Pesquero en el Puerto de La Paloma. El mismo tuvo lugar en el Hotel Cabo Santa María.
La bienvenida del encuentro estuvo a cargo del Alcalde de la Paloma, el señor Sergio Muniz, luego tomó la palabra el Presidente de la Cámara de Representantes, Diputado Dr. Alfredo Fratti, quien habló sobre la pesca en la estructura social de la costa oceánica.
A lo largo de la jornada se realizaron varias charlas, donde participaron exponentes de la Facultad de Veterinaria y de otras instituciones, las mismas se detallan a continuación:

Al finalizar la jornada que duró aproximadamente 6 horas, se abrió un espacio de intercambio con aportes de varios invitados de: Cámara de Senadores, Facultad de Veterianaria, DINARA, MTOP y en este espacio participó el Director Técnico de Urexport el señor Enrique Bertullo.
Fue una jornada sin duda de mucha información y conocimiento compartido.
